King City boasts of the only museum in the immediate area, the Tri-County Museum. The old King City depot, along with a freight caboose, has been moved to the site, In addition, a large metal building has been erected to display larger farm implements of yesteryear. King City prides itself on modern facilities it offers to its residents. The recreation complex offers swimming, baseball, tennis plus rodeo grounds and tractor pull track. At the south edge of town is the Smithy-Veale Legion Building serving as a community center.
