DAVIESS COUNTY
Gallatin Conservation Area is
5 miles south of Gallatin on Highway 13, and .5 mile east on Route M. This 670-acre area
has a firearms range and 3.5 miles of trails (fields roads).
Green Access is
1.5 miles south of Pattonsburg on Highway 69. This is a 3.5-acre area with no boat ramp on
the Grand River.
Holmes Bend Access
is 2 miles south of Gallatin on Highway 13, then east at the cantilever sign marking the
area (on a gravel road). This is 76 acres of forestland, warm season grasslands and old
fields with frontage on North Grand River. There is no boat ramp.
Jamesport City Lake
is north of the city of Jamesport on Highway 190, then west on State Route RA (follow the
signs). The land around this 18-acre reservoir is forestland (38 acres),, and there is a
boat ramp. There is also a hitching post for horse drawn vehicles.
Jamesport Community Lake
is northwest of Jamesport off Route RA. This is a 30-acre lake with one boat ramp. The
land around the lake is mainly old fields and forestland (145 acres total).
Newman Memorial Access
is 5 miles east of Gallatin on Highway 6, then 6.5 miles south on Route V. This is a
9-acre area along the Grand River. There is no boat ramp.
Savage Access on
the Grand River is 3.5 miles west of Pattonsburg on Route Z. This is a 13-acre area with
no boat ramp.
Wabash Crossing Access
is 1 mile northeast of Gallatin on Highway 6. This 15-acre area with a boat ramp is on the
Grand River.
